On the go right now...

Reading; The Sacred Romance by Brent Curtis & John Eldridge, love how these guys write about Heaven

Wearing; boyfriend jeans, white vest and green jersey top

Buying; sun hats for the kids

Making; another baby blanket

Scrapping; everything that happened in February. Honestly, all of it!

Planning; the Great British Bake-off's lemon cream sponge

Remembering; my very talented and artistic father-in-law. We brought home some of his chalk drawings after our weekend away. I couldn't believe how many there were to choose from

Thinking; about family tattoos

Hoping; the sunshine continues tomorrow so we can picnic in the park

Waiting; for a brand-new baby to make his/her appearance

Loving; my kids and my hubby. But then that was predictable.

On being caught up...

Ok, so that's a slight exaggeration.  But I have completed January for Document 2012. And it's only March, so I'm doing well!

This month I've used Cosmo Cricket's The Boyfriend, which I think came out in 2009.  I bought it back then, tucked it away and never used it!  Looking through my stash for something to use, I rediscovered it and I love the colours!  Some of the papers are so sweet and some are so useable, I especially like the pencils paper, which has a ledger print on the back.

January started with us at my parents' house for New Years, a low-key celebration involving going to bed early.  I had developed mastitis - thank God for antibiotics and paracetamol!  We went out and about with Daddy.  Woody B joined the mummies and babies party.  We went out and about without Daddy - love the John Lewis restaurant!  We also tried out some new toddler groups.

Little summary pages for Anna and Isaac with journalling tucked behind the photos - I'm hoping to do that every month this year - it's more convenient that writing in a separate book for each of them.  A bit of housekeeping - I sent out all of Anna's birth announcements, finally!  Another new arrival - Ffion, who was in something of a rush to get here.  There's a photo behind the card but I wanted to keep it private as her parents haven't published it.  Andy's mum's 71st birthday, her first without his Dad.  And a weekend with my parents to stay.
And the focus page is on my word for the year "talk".  There's a lot of different aspects to that choice that I'm looking forward to exploring over the year.  My February photos arrived from Photobox yesterday so my aim is to have those pages completed before the end of the month.

On the tenth of March

Just! Anna turns four months today, at 11.10pm, so I don't feel too bad about the lateness of my posting. I haven't taken any proper photos of her today but I do have a few candids.

She's still fully breast-fed, still sleeping in her Moses basket & still waking at least once a night for feeds.

She's wearing 3-6 month clothing, size 3 nappies and fits her 0-3month snowsuits perfectly.

She coos, gurgles, growls and laughs. She blows bubbles when she's hungry. And she falls asleep on her own. She smiles at her brother and her dad but most of all at me. She has found her hands as well as her voice and she puts everything in her mouth!

She is starting to want to sit up, curling her head and shoulders forward when she's propped up. She arches her back and cranes her head back but she's not quite ready to roll.
The first three months flew by, this last one has proceeded at a more respectable pace. I like that - my babies are growing up too quickly.

On the joys of new technology

My lovely HTC died a sad death this week after a fall from the kitchen table. Cue much sadness, wailing & nashing of teeth. And then the purchase of an iPhone 4s. Long awaited but a little bit scary all the same (I'm not great at change!). It arrived yesterday and after a bit of drama with the micro sim thingy, it's now up & running. And I love it! I was most excited about the camera and access to instagram which isn't android compatible (yet). So in that vein, here's what yesterday looked like round here.
